The Department of electronics and communication engineering of Annai Teresa Engineering college was started in the year . The Main objective of the department is to lay a foundation for students who are in the progress of pursuing a career in the field of electronics and communication engineering.

The Department has well qualified and highly experienced faculties along with Industrial experts who has real time expertise in the associated fields.Students are encouraged to participate in seminars and inter-college symposiums.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has state of the art infrastructure when it comes to laboratory and practical training. It has qualified and experienced support staffs for in place exclusively for practical training of students.

The College has every lab in place as it has more than 8 labs in place. The labs comprises of Electronics ans Digital Lab, Communication systems lab, Integrated Circuits & simulation lab, Linear integrated circuits lab, Microprocessor & Micro Controller Lab, Microwave/optical communication lab, RF & Antenna lab, Digital Electronics Lab, DSP/VLSI Labs etc.
