The Department of Mechanical engineering of Annai Teresa Engineering college was started in the year  – affiliated to anna university.

The Department has well qualified and highly experienced faculties along with Industrial experts who has real time expertise in the associated fields.The Management of Annai Teresa Engineering college is very keen about providing sheer practical training for the students. So Faculties with real industrial experience are hired to train the students in such a way to face the existing competitions.

The Vision of the department is to develop an industrial oriented training center which allows the students to develop unmatched skills that makes them employable. The Department also encourages students to innovate and discover in order to improve their creative skills.

The infrastructure of this department is developed day by day to meet the industrial needs and trends. The Department comprises of more than 9 laboratories  in place. The Department has special placement wings which trains students in communication and industrial skills.
